We have been reassessing our business model over the last 2 years. Although we value and are grateful for the small businesses and individual customers that have helped us grow over the 20 years we have been in business, we simply cannot keep maintaining several supply channels to service all of the different requests from our customers. This is due to our ever-growing number of commercial contracts that take priority.
The practice specializes in precise and creative buildings, landscapes and interiors that sensitively respond to their environment and ecologies of place. Our commitment to enhance and protect both the cultural and natural environments of the communities we serve is evident in the technical craftsmanship of our designs and in the long-term sustainability of our projects.

At the time, local furniture-store owners in the Phoenix area scoffed at the two Danes’ design ideas and concepts, saying “That stuff will never sell. Six months and they’re out!” Quite the contrary—that “stuff” did sell! It sold so well, in fact, that shortly after, Hansen and Christensen opened additional stores in Tempe, Tucson, and Scottsdale. Continued growth moved Copenhagen into Texas, with stores first opening in El Paso, San Antonio, and, soon after, Austin.
